How long will it take to for you to create my piece or website?
This varies greatly depending on the design project and whether or not your project includes copy writing. Once all files (images, text, etc.) have been gathered, your project can generally be ready to upload or print in about 2 weeks.

I live outside your area, can you still provide me with graphic design, web design and copywriting services?
Absolutely. Santa Clara Design is based from College Station, TX but we have clients all over the state. With the assistance of the Internet and email, we can provide services to clients all over the country.

I already have a logo, brochure and web site, but I want to improve it. Can you help?

How long will it take to finish my project?
This also varies greatly depending on the amount and type of content you want on the site or publication, and the availability of that content. Once all files (images, text, etc.) have been gathered, your project can be completed within two-four weeks for custom design and in a matter of days if you are using one of our web design templates.

What are your business hours?
You can reach me most week days in my office, and I also work at other times during the week, evenings and weekends. You can always reach me through email, and I will generally respond to inquiries within 1-3 hours.

Print Design

I would like you to create a Direct Marketing piece for me. Can you also coordinate the sorting and mailing process?
Yes. Santa Clara Design can help you purchase mailing lists, work with mailing services for sorting, stuffing and addressing mail and make sure that is gets delivered to the USPS in a timely manner. Again, we can either work with your preferred mailing service, or recommend a mailing service that we use on a regular basis. We can make the normally complicated mailing process a breeze for you and your business.

How do I go about getting my material printed?
Santa Clara Design can email your design to the printer of your choice. If you do not have a printer that you currently work with, we can have your work printed by a printing company that we work with on a regular basis. Santa Clara Design can work with the printing company to choose the paper, ink color and other parameters to ensure a quality final product.

How will I maintain my Web site once it is built?
We maintain most of our client's web sites, saving them time and money by being able to take care of updates quickly. We offer special monthly and quarterly maintenance plans with reduced hourly rates. We can also offer training at a per hour training rate for clients who wish to maintain their own Web sites. How do I get listed in Search Engines?
During our initial consultation, we will discuss keywords and phrases people will use to find your Web site in search engines. We will incorporate these keywords into your Web site through the use of Meta Tags that will help search engines find your site. Once your site is up and running, you have a variety of options for promoting it through search engines. We will offer guidance to find the system that works best for you.

What is Web Hosting?
A web site is made up of files like those you have on your desktop computer. To make your web site accessible to other people, the files that make up your site must be placed on a host computer that is connected to the Internet around the clock. This host computer is called a web server. The Web server "hosts" your site so that is accessible on the Web.

We do offer web hosting. By providing hosting to our clients, we are able to individually set up and handle their account, fix problems and set up email accounts.

What is a domain name?
A domain name is your Web site's address that people type in to visit your site. The santaclaradesign.com part of our Web address is an example of a domain name.

How do I get a domain name?
Your domain name will be the name of your choosing followed by .com, .net, .org or whichever other applicable extension is available. It is important that you check the availability of the domain name you wish to use, as many are already taken. Once you decide on your domain name and check its availability, you will need to register it for an annual fee, we can register it for you.
